Review of a Premises License or a Club Premises Certificate
Once a Premises Licence has been granted a Responsible Authority or an interested party, such as a resident living in the vicinity of the premises may ask the Local Authority to review the Licence if they consider that the licensing objectives are not being met. Upon an application to review, the Local Authority will determine whether to proceed with the application having considered any evidence provided. If they proceed with the application, the matter will be placed before a Local Authority Licensing Sub-Committee hearing who will determine as to whether the premises are meeting the licensing objectives. If the premises is not, the committee may, for example, impose further conditions, amend or even revoke the Licence.
You should seek immediate legal advice should an application for review be made against your premises.
